The glamour of the past has reinvented itself in the Caribbean, Miami Beach’s long awaited oceanfront masterpiece on the legendary Millionaire’s row. The Caribbean Hotel was originally built in 1941and designed by the famed L. Murray Dixon. A once hot spot amongst jet setters, this historic 6 story landmark, now the North Tower, has been stripped and rebuilt from the inside out to house 35 ultra luxury residences. The splendor of the original lobby, including the 1940’s terrazzo floors, has also been meticulously restored. The new, 19 story South Tower, directly attached to the North Tower, will be home to 68 equally luxurious, glass enclosed residences.
The Caribbean’s spacious floor plans with nine to ten foot ceilings offer spectacular ocean views from nearly every room. Famed celebrity decorator Christopher Ciccone, Madonna’s brother, brought his signature touch to the interior finishes from the designer Italian kitchens with Subzero and Miele appliances to the luxurious marble and stone baths. Amenities include an oceanfront pool and oversized spa, sundeck, gorgeous beach, fitness center, and beautifully landscaped grounds.
The Caribbean’s historic location has seen a triumphant return over the last few years as numerous landmarks of the past have undergone revitalization.
